NowUs is a United States-based service that helps two people create a private shared archive of moments, relationship dates, and status updates. In this policy, "NowUs," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the NowUs team.

Information We Collect
Account and sign-in information
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive information needed to authenticate your account, such as a provider identifier, authentication tokens handled by our authentication provider, your Firebase user ID, and, depending on your provider settings, your display name or email address.
Relationship and pairing information
NowUs may store information such as relationship IDs, member IDs, invitation codes, relationship start dates, D+ counts, partner display names, privacy pause status, and deletion job records.
Shared archive content
When you choose to send a moment, we may process and store the photo or short video you select or capture, text overlays, media type, timestamps, ready status, lock status, unlock records, file metadata, and related relationship IDs. Videos may include audio if you choose to keep audio enabled.
Device permissions and local app data
The app requests camera, microphone, and photo library access only when you use features that need them. The widget may store a local snapshot on your device, such as partner name, D+ text, archive count, and privacy pause status.
Notifications and technical information
If notifications are enabled, we may process notification-related data needed to send app notifications. Our support website and hosting providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, and security logs.
How We Use Information
- To create and maintain your NowUs account.
- To connect two users through invitations and relationship records.
- To store, display, lock, unlock, and delete shared archive content.
- To calculate D+ and update app and widget state.
- To provide Privacy Pause and other privacy controls.
- To send service-related notifications when enabled.
- To respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues.
- To protect the service, prevent misuse, and comply with law.
How Information Is Shared
Your shared archive content and relationship information are intended to be visible only to the two members of the connected relationship, subject to app controls such as locked media and explicit unlock actions.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate NowUs, including authentication, cloud storage, database, messaging, hosting, and support infrastructure providers. These providers may include Apple, Google, Firebase/Google Cloud, and Vercel.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information.
Your Choices and Controls
- You can choose whether to grant camera, microphone, photo library, and notification permissions in iOS settings.
- You can use Privacy Pause to pause new status sharing while keeping existing archive visibility.
- You can delete relationship data in the app settings where available.
- You can request account deletion or other privacy help by contacting takeallusername@gmail.com.
- You can sign out of NowUs from the app.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide NowUs, maintain your account, support the shared archive, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our rights. When relationship deletion or account deletion is completed, we aim to remove associated relationship records, storage objects, local cache, pending drafts, and widget snapshots, subject to backups, logs, legal obligations, and technical limits.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. For example, NowUs uses authenticated access controls for relationship records, storage rules for shared media, and signed access for certain locked media workflows. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
NowUs is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to NowUs, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of certain personal information. You may also have the right to opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. NowUs does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the current app.

International Users
NowUs is operated from the United States. If you use NowUs from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and take additional steps when required by law.
